If I never believed in miracles before the 22 April 2017, I definitely do now.
In the Gospel of Mark 4:41 The Word of God says very clearly, "And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!" The disciples were in a little boat going across the Sea of Galilee and Jesus was sound asleep at the stern of the boat, when a massive storm blew up. They were afraid that the boat was going to sink and they cried out: "Lord don't you care?" Then Jesus stood up and He calmed the waves, and stilled the wind. It was indeed a miracle.
I looked up in the Oxford dictionary for the word miracle which means: object of wonder and it comes from the Latin word 'miraculum'. We saw a miracle take place on 22 April 2017. I stood on the platform and looked at the biggest crowd I've ever seen in my entire life with my physical eyes. We in South Africa are so blessed! I don't think there is any other country in the world that has had a prayer meeting which exceeds one million people. We don't know the exact number of people who attended and no one will ever know, accept the Lord, but we believe it "exceeds" one million people.
It took place in six weeks and the budget was in the region of R40 million. We started with no money, we sold no tickets and we took no collections. God payed for everything. I asked the Lord in a very humble and quietly way for two things: "I would like to address one million people physically and not through any form of media, and secondly I would like to stand on the platform not owing anybody a penny." God gave me both of those requests and that is why I'm so in love with Jesus Christ, the Miracle Worker at this time and I will never doubt Him again.
He requires two things from His servant's: faith to believe for a miracle and obedience to fulfil exactly what He tells us to do. We saw over 400,000 motorcars not counting buses, aero planes, helicopters, and even trains arrive at the meeting. We had the biggest sound system in South Africa and we had over 30 different stations with speakers and side screens going out from the platform. When I stood on the platform I could not see the end of the crowd. People came for a two-hour prayer meeting from every corner of this Nation and no wonder God heard our prayers, but for me the ultimate of the whole miraculous event was when I had the privilege of leading one million plus people in the sinners prayer of dedication and rededication, acknowledging that Jesus Christ is soveriegn Lord alone - that moment truly has to be the highlight of my entire life.
God always honours the prayer of faith. James 5:17-18 (NKJV) says, "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit." I really believe that is what God is looking for in these last days; men and women of faith, and who are prepared to believe that miracles still happen!
Not even a week after that miraculous prayer meeting we heard that the South African Rand had strengthened and that the local government in Pretoria were singing gospel songs and praying to Almighty God. Not only that, but we heard that it began raining in Cape Town (up until then, no rain had fallen this year). It has been miracle after miracle. We then heard that the nuclear plans had been shelved and many financial experts will tell you, that would have caused South Africa to have gone bankrupt if it had been implemented. All these things happened within a few days after the prayer meeting called "It's time."
Like never before, my faith has grown and my intensity for prayer has increased. I know that God answers the prayer of faith and I want to encourage you to expand your prayer time and to really start to "... walk by faith, not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7) and remember Romans 10:17 (NKJV), "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
You see, my dear friend, we need faith to believe for our miracle and we must stop trying to explain miracles away. We need to start believing and thanking God for them, and you will see more miracles than you have ever seen in your life before. Because it is time for miracles and to observe with our carnal eyes 'objects of wonder'.
Yours in Christ service
